A daughter is born, Monday 15th of September year 2003 at 3:59pm Philippine time. Pretty, healthy, smart, and strong willed girl.
Until a big challenge came to our life, that is when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia year 2007 15th of February at the age of 3years and 5mos a young angel is going to have a big fight of surviving life.
Imagining my precious daughter undergoing a long term period of medication… chemotherapy… injections… blood test even hair loss. It really breaks my heart… But life does not stop here, in fact we are just beginning.
Sad that her dad had to be far most of the time. Knowing that her dad love’s her make her complete and looks forward day by day that in time they could have time to play and hug each other again.
Seeing my daughter undergo so much at her age makes me want or wish that it was me instead of her that is suffering with such illness. Thinking every now and then how it all happened…knowing that in time blood test results fluctuates with just a cold, cough or fever.
Eventually that is only when i knew why cancer patients wear masks most of the time… due to that is they have a very low immune system caused by the chemotherapy and drugs they consume to get well.
We are still on therapy and eventually hoping and praying with all our relatives and friends that she will recover and be well soon.

Ate Joy, you have served as such an inspiration to me, of what a mother should be. Although you look nothing close to your age, you have exemplified such a strong-willed and courageous person. I can imagine the heartaches and worries that you go through with Nicolie, for we went through it with Inay. Now, as we band together in great faith, as we ask God to rid her of this ailment. Continue to be strong and know that we are here for you. Eventhough we are separated by some distance, our thoughts and hearts are always with you. We love you and miss you very much!!! hi joy!! I never thought of the obstacle that you are going through!!! i’m really sorry for what nicole have. But I know that there is nothing impossible with God. I admire your courage friend..not only because YOU NEED TO but YOU HAVE TO. Know always that you and Nicole have my prayers, love and hugs. She is a very bright and beautiful girl.
